BRIEF
Choose a brand + artist & create a product design and a commercial ad based on the chosen artist's style.
SOLUTION
Considering the nature of this project, I chose to design a shoe because they are an extension of one's style and considered an accessory to an outfit. I blended my personal style into the overall shoe design, creating fresh, bold and youthful sneakers for both genders. The theme of my ad is "so fresh, so clean" and the name of the shoe is "Blue Swiss." The feeling of freshness is emphasized through the usage of color, music and design.

The Brand

NIKE has been around since 1964 but took flight in 1989 when they began designing shoes based on rookie players that would later become famous (i.e Michael Jordan). Some of Nike's most popular shoes are Air Jordans, Air Force 1s and SB Dunks.

I decided on Nike's streetwear shoe style, SB Dunk low because they're a classic + they are streetwear kicks which will make it easier for me to visualize not only myself but others styling the shoe.

COLOR
FONTS

With blue being a cool color, it's the perfect color to use for the product, packaging and the final ad + it's my favorite color. Having different values of blue creates a cool contrast while emphasizing the words "fresh and clean."
Fonts used:
Helvetica neue bold italic + whomp regular


For Nike, I chose a font similar to the original and used a more expressive font with curvature to represent myself as the artist.
Mini Process Montage
This montage includes a breakdown of the shoe -- separating each section of the shoe so I can customize it to my taste.


Outkast - So Fresh, So Clean
Blending an older 2000 song with a new shoe creates a nice contrast between the product and ad + the lyrics further emphasizes how fresh these kicks are.
