BRIEF
This visual poem is 100% inspired by a new friend of mine, Kayla Williams. She’s a young lady that I met in church. After seeing my poem “I Met This Guy” she asked if we could do one together about GOD. So here we are. Since ‘I Met This Guy’ is my story about failed love and relationships before understanding the love of Christ, I wanted to allow this poem to be 100% her story. I am simply just a helping hand to bring her story to life.
‘I Will Sing’ is simply about a broken hearted girl who over time grew into a woman of GOD.
SOLUTION
To represent this poem properly, I developed a concept centered around the physical transformation of the main subject, Kayla. The visual transitions from a young girl's present to her desired future, visualizing the character's physical and spiritual growth that has occured over time.
