BRIEF

Design a 45 second lyric video to any form of audio, with typography as the main visual element.

SOLUTION

For this super fun lyric video, I wanted this project to reflect the style of music that Lizzo creates by incorporating a combination of feminine colors, hand-drawn + pre-made fonts, slightly rough textures, versatile fonts and dynamic movements. The look and feel of this visual embodies Lizzo's identity.

Who Is LIZZO?

Lizzo creates pop, hip/hop, funk style music. Majority of her music is upbeat, girly, carefree songs that emphasize confidence, femininity and self-love. Lizzo is more than just an artist, she's a bold inspiration for many girls because carries with confidence herself.

COLOR + TEXTURES

Taking inspiration from Lizzo's wardrobe, I used grain texture to create a bedazzled/sparkled look for some of the patterns + experimented with making different patterns for background in Photoshop.

I also chose to use warm and cool feminine colors such as pinks, purple, blues and orange to further highlight her music and personality.
